Stetson School Inc., a residential treatment program and school for adolescent male sexual offenders located in Barre, MA has an opening for a clinician to join our treatment team of 12 clinicians and 6 case managers. Responsibilities include:
- Assessment and evaluation of children with sexual behavior problems and adolescent sexual offenders, including psychosocial history and risk for re-offending.
- Provide sexual offender specific individual, group, and family therapy.
- Prepare reports, write progress notes, and maintain treatment records.
- Attend referral agency, court, and other outside meetings as necessary, and provide recommendations as requested.
- Communicate with case managers, other treatment team staff, outside referral sources, agencies and departments, and providers.
- Attendance at all required trainings, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) for crisis and physical restraint training and other trainings as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Doctorate or Masters degree in psychology, social work, counseling psychology, psychiatric nursing, or other field providing advanced training in therapy or counseling.
- Experience working with sexually abusive youth preferred but not required.
- Current Massachusetts professional license to practice clinical work independently or practice under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner.

Masters-Level Adolescent Therapist

The Counseling and Psychotherapy Center, Inc. (CPC) a national counseling practice is searching for a licensed master-level therapist to provide counseling, therapy and psycho-educational services to adolescents who exhibit sexually problematic behaviors. This fee-for-service therapist will be responsible for intakes, assessments, and serve as lead therapist in individual and group sessions. Depending upon the needs of the client in-home therapy may be required.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic, growing interdisciplinary team and work with a complex clinical population.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of a Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling and professional licensure is required. Candidates who are eligible for professional licensure or fulfilling supervision requirements may also be considered. Candidates who have prior experience providing treatment services to sexual offenders, forensic patients or a comparable client population will be given priority consideration. Previous experience with juveniles is preferred. Candidate must have excellent communication, clinical and organizational skills. Computer experience is also required.
